This scholarship is offered annually for Environmental Studies/Natural Science college students by the Friends of Volo Bog.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must;

A Clarkston Scholar is known for the following:
A highly-driven student, who excels in the classroom,One who has a focused passion and interest in the life sciences industry andAnd one who has the intention of entering the life sciences industry upon graduation.
This program, The Clarkston Scholars will provide a scholarship award for one sophomore attending a four-year program in college/university at the undergraduate level in Pennsylvania and who is majoring in a life sciences-related field of study. This scholarship award is dispersed once for a junior year and for senior year. Furthermore, the Clarkston Scholar will receive mentorship with Clarkston Consulting and participation in Pennsylvania Bio events and this will give the scholar exposure to the life sciences industry over the course of the period of the two-year scholarship award.
Eligibility:
For applicants to be considered for being recipients, they must;
Be a sophomore at the university undergraduate program or four-year accredited college.Attend a university or college in Pennsylvania.Be in possession of and maintain a cumulative unweighted Grade Point Average of at least 3.0 for the full duration of the scholarship.Be available for participation in an in-person interview in the greater Philadelphia area with a Clarkston Consulting representative as part of the process of finalist selection.Be in attendance in the scholarship award ceremony scheduled for March 9.Have the willingness to be present in two events in the Philadelphia area annually, to be approved by their Clarkston mentor.Be a citizen of the U.S. or permanently residing in the United States and etc. Essay Applicants are to an assay of at most 500 words, stating their opinion of an issue impacting the pharmaceutical and biotech industry in the Pennsylvania state.

This fellowship, The AAAS Mass Media Science & Engineering seeks to increase skills for communication between student scientists. This program, the 4-H Youth in Action, gives recognition to four confident young leaders who are members or alumni of 4-H between the ages of 16-19 in the core pillar areas of Civic Engagement, Agriculture, Healthy Living & STEM. Each Pillar Winner will experience a year of excitement wherein he/she will be telling their 4-H story and celebrating their leadership. Winners of this scholarship award receive the following:
a scholarship of $5,000 for higher education,a promotional video showcasing a story of their 4-H impact,an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, DC for National 4-H Council’s Legacy Awards, opportunities of networking with the 4-H celebrities and other prominent alumni and recognition as the official 4-H youth spokesperson for their pillar.

Scholarship Description The scholarship fund for this scholarship program was established in 2003 in memory of Mr. Rose and in honor of Eva. Barnes graduated from the Albuquerque High School in 1951 and from West Point in 1957. Eva is a longtime resident of New Mexico. Albuquerque High School graduate in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in one of the STEM majors: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) will receive a scholarship award from the Fund. Those pursuing engineering-related careers will be given priority. Eligibility:

Scholarship Description Alaska Native/Native American undergraduate students attending tribal universities and colleges are eligible to apply for the American Indian College Fund Full Circle and the American Indian College Fund TCU Scholarship Programs. Scholarship Description
Blandy Experimental Farm, a University of Virginia ecology field station, is situated in Virginia’s beautiful Northern Shenandoah Valley. Three research faculty from the Department of Environmental Sciences, graduate students and visiting scientists conduct research on reproductive ecology, habitat and community biodiversity, and plant/insect relationships. The center of Blandy is occupied by the 175-acre State Arboretum of Virginia and it delights visitors with it’s 8,000 native and exotic species specimens representing over 60 families of plant families. The Blandy Experimental Farm is focused on increasing the understanding of the natural environment through education and research. REU is an acronym for Research Experience for Undergraduates and is an NSF funded program that provides mentored research experiences to qualified undergraduate students. Under the guidance of a faculty, Ph.D. candidate mentor or postdoctoral associate, the student will select, design, and conduct a project on field-based ecology research. A project proposal is expected to be developed by students. They are to collect their data and make a presentation of their findings in a final paper and in an oral presentation at the end of the summer. The duration of the program is over 10 weeks, generally from early June until early August, depending on the schedules of the University. The summer intern community includes 20-25 undergraduate and graduate ecology research students. After the 10-week internship, the stipend offered is $4,808 and there is provision for free housing. Dormitory-style housing in the historic Quarters building is the place of residence for students and a full kitchen is available there for the preparation of meals. Qualifications for the internship include coursework in the sciences, especially ecology, biology and environmental science preferred, and an interest or career goal in scientific research. For internship consideration, an application package must be completed by students, which includes a copy of the current transcript, application form, and statement of career or academic goals as they relate to the internship and two letters of recommendation. #11. Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship & Excellence in Education Program
Award Amount: $15,000

This Foundation is aimed at awarding scholarships to college students who have the intention of pursuing research careers in these fields: scientists, mathematicians, and engineers, thereby providing a continuing source of highly qualified professions as listed above. Each scholarship caters for eligible expenses for undergraduate fees, tuition, books, and room and board, up to a maximum annual amount of $7,500. Scholarship monies not made use of during one academic year can not/is not transferable to the academic year next to it. Recipients of the junior-level scholarship are eligible for a maximum of four semesters (two years) of scholarship support, and recipients of the senior-level scholarship are eligible for a maximum of two semesters (one year) of scholarship support.
