Athletic and Recreation Fee:
The athletic and recreation fee provides funding to enhance the athletic experience of our student-athletes and the entire Kean University community. This fee supports all areas of the 13 NCAA Division III intercollegiate teams offered by the University, as well as recreational and intramural programming. In addition, the fee covers the expenses and personnel cost associated with operating and maintaining three fitness centers and three gymnasiums on campus.
Capital Improvement Fee:
The capital service improvement fee is used for debt, and to fund renovation and construction projects costing $500,000 or more those are not funded by bonds.
Student Government Fee:
The Office of Student Government offers students opportunities for professional development experience. The Office provides diverse campus-wide programming that enhances the intellectual, cultural and personal growth of the students and the community. The Office provides a wide array of service, cultural, professional, governmental and performance groups to enrich the learning environment and prepare our students for the professional world. The Office of Student Government enhances the learning environment through the development of leaders who take individual and collective responsibilities in serving the concerns and interest of the students. Through both boards, we offer opportunities for a voice and involvement in University decisions that affect the student population. A part-time student taking off-campus courses will be charged an off-campus fee of $20.00 per credit in addition to the regular University per-credit fees.
