W.R. Newman Scholarship
This scholarship is open only to the first year of Ole Miss, who resides in Mississippi. To qualify, students must have excellent academic performance and demonstrate leadership skills. The scholarship will provide $40,000 worth of recipients over a four-year period. Students interested in applying must submit a full application by January 5th. This award is considered one of the Ole Miss Foundation Scholarships.
Arabic Language Program Scholarships
This scholarship provides a grant of $2,500 to eligible students who are in their first three years of study. To be eligible, students must demonstrate that they are seeking a high level of proficiency in the Arabic language. The program supports 2.5 credits abroad, in Jordan or Morocco. Candidates must apply by January 5th.
Scholarships at Community Colleges
There are several scholarships for students from a community college at Ole Miss. An award, called the Lyceum Scholar Award, provides comprehensive training for the remaining two years of the B.A. Program. Only students based in Mississippi are eligible. In addition, all students must have an average of at least 3.0 and be able to transfer at least 48 credit hours. Students can apply for this scholarship by applying for a transfer from a community college. This application can also be used for other scholarships at community colleges, such as the Mississippi Community College Advantage Scholarship. This award is for students who have an average score of 2.5 or more and whose family income does not exceed $30,000. All applicants must be eligible for the Pell Grant.
